1/2 day is 4 hours. It starts around 1PM until around 5pm only on Saturdays and Sundays.

What is included?

Licensed fishing guide — you will have me as your guide! I’m a former Firefighter for 11 years and EMT Basic for 7 years and have river rescue training and up to date First aid/CPR card for your safety

 My boat is a 16’x5’ 2023 StealthCraft Power Drifter with a 90/65 horsepower outboard motor with heater on board.

Personal instruction and use of top quality equipment, flies and spinning rods is provided along with all necessary tackle to get that fish in the boat.

I can clean, filet and package the fish upon request.

What is NOT included?

Appropriate clothing for the time of year and time of day you will be fishing. Please look at weather for your amazing fishing day.

Items such as cameras, hats, sunscreen, polarized sunglasses and other personal belongings. 

Valid Michigan fishing license (You must purchase this before stepping foot in the boat and have it readily available. I will be checking all licenses before starting the trip. If you’re under 17 years old, no license required.

A gratuity (tip) is a tradition in the guided fishing/fly fishing world. A gratuity is for good service, effort and attention to details, to make the 8 hours of fishing the best you could have.

Cancellation Policy:

Our cancellation policy is that you can cancel your reservation IF MORE than 90 days out from your scheduled outing without penalty.

If you cancel within 90 days, your deposit can be applied to a re-scheduled trip within a year of your reserved date.

If you cancel within 30 days of your reservation, your deposit is forfeited.

If one cancels within 7 days of the morning of your scheduled outing, full payment is expected.

Deposits are only transferrable due to extreme weather conditions where safety is an issue. These may include road closing blizzards or dangerous travel in the winter, river closing floods in the spring and extreme storms of summer with recorded and forecasted lightning.

I will be fair and reasonable with unusual situations or circumstances beyond what you can control. I’m here to make sure you have the best time!

ACCIDENT WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY FORM

I the Client of Doubleflyguides HEREBY ASSUME ALL OF THE RISKS OF PARTICIPATING IN ANY/ALL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS GUIDE SERVICE, including by way of example and not limitation, any risks that may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities being released, from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained, or controlled by them, or because of their possible liability without fault.

I certify that I understand this activity has potential risks including but not limited to:

1) Use of simple hooks, weights, motor, anchor or anything on our a round the boat
2) Potentially moving or motorized objects
3) Mental stress and anxiety do to weather or anything thing unforeseen that could happen
4) Being in a reasonably small space with up to 4 persons casting hooks with weights on them.
5) Possibility of tripping or slipping.
6) Possibility of falling objects like tree branches or weight coming back at a high speed.

I have no physical or mental illness that precludes my participation in a safe manner for myself or others. I am not under the influence of drugs or alcohol which impairs my ability to maintain my safety awareness or endangers others. I acknowledge that this Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form will be used by the organizers of the activity in which I may participate, and that it will govern my actions and responsibilities at said activity. I agree that all staff or authorized agents may, in their sole discretion, determine it is unsafe for myself or others for my participation to continue, remove me from the premises by any lawful means.

In consideration of my application and permitting me to participate in this activity, I hereby take action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows:

(A) I WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to me, THE FOLLOWING ENTITIES OR PERSONS: The directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, and agents of any and all entities authorizing this activity;

(B) INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS, AND PROMISE NOT TO SUE the entities or persons mentioned in this paragraph from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in this activity, whether caused by the negligence of release or otherwise. I acknowledge that the directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, and agents of any authorizing entity are NOT responsible for the errors, omissions, acts, or failures to act of any party or entity conducting a specific activity on their behalf. The undersigned further acknowledges that he/she has inspected the equipment, and areas to be used for the Endeavor to fish and is voluntarily participating despite the risk of falls, contact and/or crashes with other boats, defective equipment, the condition of the boat and any hazards that may be posed by spectators or volunteers. I hereby consent to receive medical treatment which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during this activity.

I agree that “Double Fly Guides” or any of its assign's has the right to any photos or any video/sound footage of me during the fishing/guide trip. These photos, video footage and sound materials may be used for any marketing purposes.

I fully understand that there are no refunds under any conditions within 7 days of the morning of your scheduled outing,

The Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.

A hot grilled lunch will be included on full day trips. You can pick your meat (Pork, Chicken or Beyond meat), one side (mashed potatoes or rice), one side of vegetable and fruit.
